LOL, well...
"Rapper Lupe Fiasco recently wrapped up his second official video, "Paris Tokyo," from his sophomore album, "The Cool." The video will sport a 1940's theme and features the rapper on a camel trudging through the desert. "Paris Tokyo" is slated to drop in early April, just before Fiasco begins his performance run on Kanye West's "Glow in the Dark" tour the same month."
And just because of the 1940's thing I had to post this Paris, Tokyo video again.
I love it.
Also found out that Lu will be in Dublin April 5th for a show at Tripod. Tickets went on sale this Friday morning at 9AM. They are between €36.50 - 42.50.
Just for the record...I read somewhere that somebody thinks 32.50 is 'pricey'. Try that damn $218 I spent on those GITD tickets. That's pricey. Thanks.

We're Back In Business!!
My internet is back. Looks like it was really a simple remedy after all. Gotta thank my momma for that. LOL. There will be many changes to this site. Only because of the fact that I'll be out of work and non-busy until the first week of March. There are also changes in motion over at She's Cool Like Dat [formerly known as Waste Not Fresh Tears].
But anyway, I have an update that I don't think many people would have. Sorta.
In the new Jan-March issue of Salon Digest magazine they have a little piece about the whole men and scarves fashion trend. In it they have Lupe, Kanye, Omarion and a couple other people whos name I can't remember at the moment.
They also have an article/interview with Mr. West himself.
Be sure to check that out..at your local beauty supply store....

The 2008 Grammy Awards
Sooo the Grammy's are this Sunday. I personally don't really care for the show too much anymore because the whole system they have is flawed and they put the same people on all the time and blah blah blah...
Anyway, as you may know our favorite rapper [and your favorite rappers favorite rapper] is up for one of those coveted Grammys yet again. This time its for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for Daydreamin' ft. Jill Scott.
He's up against:
Vikter Duplaix - Make A Baby
Dwele - That's The Way Of The World
Meshell Ndegeocello - Fantasy
Alice Smith - Dream
Honestly, I have no clue who anybody else on that list is except for Dwele. & with that being said..if the same thing happens here that happened with Kanye...let me not make that negative comment. I don't know who they are but I don't wish them luck either because I just flat out don't want them to win, LOL.
BUT
at the same time..if Lupe doesn't win this one I'm protesting the Grammys...

Maybe I'll just watch when Kanye performs or something and not watch the rest of it....
it'll be on youtube within the next hour anyway...

''The Wire'' Holds Auction For Baltimore Charity, Gets Help From Lupe Fiasco & Q-Tip

While HBO's hit series "The Wire" shows the rough side of Baltimore's streets, the area's youth will benefit from a charity which is raising money in the show's name.
The Fader and HBO recently held "A Night at The Wire" events in New York and Baltimore in celebration of the final season of the series and to host an auction of "Wire" paraphernalia
Auction proceeds will benefit the Ella Thompson Fund, an organization that supports recreation programs for children living in inner city Baltimore, as well as programs that connect children with the natural environment.
People interested in participating in "The Wire" auction, can also visit eBay and bid on items which include copies of each season of "The Wire" on DVD signed by cast members, Jeff Staple-designed sweatshirts signed by celebrity "Wire" fans like Wyclef, MIMS, Q-Tip and Lupe Fiasco as well as posters and soundtracks also signed by the cast. I went to the show last night at the NorVa. I have pictures upon pictures to get out there to the people. Great pictures too because front row is the shit. I think I may have made eye contact..not sure, there were too many damn people. LOL. Then this one big broad kept bumpin me and swinging around..but I digress.
