2 Quick Things...

Wale is the shit. So is Kanye.

Wale is because he got that deal finally and because hes featured on HipHopGame.com. Sleep if you want to.

Kanye is because he got Nike to make him his OWN shoe. Air Yeezy. I mean seriously..

Just for the record...

I'm a female. I write in detail when I feel like it. I don't recall ever actually posting GITD tour dates because you can find those anywhere and everywhere. Thanks.

Moving on. I'm going to be extremely busy for the next couple of weeks so more than likely I won't be able to update as much..well I barely do that now.

Anyway, Sean is the hardest working man in the Lupe business. I say that to say this I'm in the process of helping to open 5 stores by the 29th. Its really not as great as it sounds [thats me not going into detail again] but while Im doing this you can all get your Lupe fix from him.

Most of you drift from there to here anyway. I will be consistant when I get a consistant schedule. But yeah, appreciate Sean. He's great and I'm tired.

This is some conspiracy theory type shit.

Okay so uhh. I was just randomly looking at post and questions about Lupe on Yahoo at 3 in the morning like I do every Friday night in the house. ::rolls eyes::

Anyway, I come across a question on Yahoo! Canada that mentioned the whole "Lupe used to sell dope" thing. Then they go on to bring up how the album cover says "Lupe Fiasco" but also says "Life of Fiasco" is you look at it different and "the F looks like the grim reapers scythe to go with the theme of death and life"

Dig much?

Two people over on Hood Fever looked a little too into it too.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Lu rides camels now?

LOL, well...

"Rapper Lupe Fiasco recently wrapped up his second official video, "Paris Tokyo," from his sophomore album, "The Cool." The video will sport a 1940's theme and features the rapper on a camel trudging through the desert. "Paris Tokyo" is slated to drop in early April, just before Fiasco begins his performance run on Kanye West's "Glow in the Dark" tour the same month."

And just because of the 1940's thing I had to post this Paris, Tokyo video again.

I love it.

Also found out that Lu will be in Dublin April 5th for a show at Tripod. Tickets went on sale this Friday morning at 9AM. They are between €36.50 - 42.50.

Just for the record...I read somewhere that somebody thinks 32.50 is 'pricey'. Try that damn $218 I spent on those GITD tickets. That's pricey. Thanks.

Nevermind Sean, no explanation needed.

I agree with you on the whole fuck Prodigy thing. I am going to address this once and move on because thats just what I wanna do.

Okay so who listens to Lupe? Well I'm guessing that maybe at least nearly 400,000 people listen to Lupe. Thats just those that I know of. I mean you could always count in those people who were at the sold out shows of his. When's the last time you had a sold out tour? Not a show a TOUR! What about a Grammy? Oh, I didn't think so.

I'm not doing this just in defense of Lu. I'm doing this because he's hating on Cass and Little Brother...lol, ok that's not why either. I'm doing this because I'm gonna need Prodigy to find a different way to remain relevant while he's in jail. NOBODY VALUES YOUR OPINION. You know what the funniest part is? Everybody you named actually does have a pretty decent fan base. I mean I dont even like Fat Joe but I have to defend him in this too because we have to diagnose this situation correctly and put an end this common problem. No not bitchassness. This is clearly just a case of old fashioned hating and marketing. Dumb marketing. All those people have fans now and you don't. No one loves you anymore and you're mad but it will be okay.

Maybe Nas, Cass, Little Brother or maybe even Lu or Buddens will let you get on a song with them when you get out. I mean because you're gonna need somebody who's still relevant to help you get back on.

I just think you let 50 rub off on you. I actually still like 50 though but only he can get away with the dissing people to remain relevant thing. It works for him because he knows who to mess with. You on the other hand...you fucked up.

I mean calling people corny because they haven't sold as much as lemme see..50? That makes no sense at all. It's your opinion, yes. My opinion is you're crazy. Dissing people who are real hip hop? That is just retarded. Calling people soft/corny/punks/whatever when you have a history of being a bitch? That is just retarded.

BUT congrats on ending the little bit of a career you possibly could have had. Good job.

And I'm not the only one that feels that way.

"i dont fuck wit prodigy no more i havent since like the mid to late 90's, no offense but this nicca dissed buddens and saigon and LB and Lupe, all these niccaz can kill him lyrically, phonte is nicer on the mic than prodigy, lupe is not even on the same planet his gift is godly, saigon stay gutter prodigy cant fluck wit dat, and buddens is on a whole other level compared to prodigy....P needs to get a life..."

"He's got them George Washington's in his mouf.. Prodigy use to seem like a real nigga. Now he's just gay. He said Joe Budden was on the line of bein' the worst rapper on the planet... This nigga's smokin ice. Sold his soul to 50 Cent."

"Building buzz for his album, nothing more. He's taking a page from the book of Curtis. He just comes off sounding stupid when he does it."

"He's trying to prove to 50 that he's riding with G-Unit, when it blow up in his face, he'll put his tail back between his legs. He ain't built like that. He know everyone on that list from Keith Murray to Fat Joe to Cam will beat the breaks off him. Even Nas and Jay. That won't his opinion, he relaying messages from 50"

"Rap cats is fake as f**k. Don't buy into the hype. Nikkas who get they 1st real charge at 34 riding around with a .25(bych gun)is not gangsta. Just real life versions of Gangstalicious."

And lastly...

"Why start new beefs and restart old ones? P is not seeing Kweli lyrically so I don't even know why he went there. And the last two Mobb Deep albums are not better than the last two Little Brother albums.

All that beef chit is played. Make money and keep it moving.

His album better be off the hook talking like that."

What he said.

Oh and have a great time in jail.

"Fiasco has finally become a superstar"

I know I said I wouldn't post reviews from big papers and what not but I kinda like this review.

- - - - - - - - - -

Fiasco Moves Them To The Brink Of Euphoria.

It's 20 minutes before the start of Lupe Fiasco's very sold-out show Monday night and already the entire Anaheim House of Blues is a mob scene. The bottom floor bristles with nervous energy and excitable chatter, sweating bodies stacked thick, fans chanting "Lupe" over and over. A top floor is similarly packed to the gills, die-hards lined three deep, craning their necks furiously for a glimpse at rap's latest great hope.

When Fiasco finally takes the stage, it's with moves and a charisma more fitting of a rock star than your average rapper circa 2008. With Fiasco's back to the audience, the anxious crowd erupts in a paroxysm of cheers interspersed with chants of "I love you, Lupe!" There are Kim Kardashian and Ray J doppelgängers, white skaters in Wu-Tang shirts and Latino teens in Vans, all of whom seem to love Lupe because of -- not in spite of -- his ability to diverge from the norm. When the first track, the slick, neo-boom bap of "Real," roars over the speakers, the noise level reaches a white pitch usually associated with teen idols.

For the next two hours, Fiasco puts on a clinic of sorts, running through much of his two albums, 2006's "Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor" and last month's "Lupe Fiasco's The Cool." Onstage, Fiasco doesn't swagger, he glides gracefully, darting from one side to the next, a lithe, leather-jacketed, Gumby-limbed apparition.

Much has been made of Fiasco's apathy to rap. He's repeatedly expressed his desire to retire after his next record, he's claimed to prefer jazz over hip-hop and, on one of the tracks he performed Monday, "Hurt Me Soul," Fiasco even admitted, "I used to hate hip-hop . . . because the women [were] degraded."

But from his initial appearance to the end of his marathon set, Fiasco's passion and energy convey exactly how much his art means to him. Rapping in two modes -- a laid-back, jazzy flow and an alternately furious, double-timed assault -- Fiasco spins words like a man juggling plates, a masterful, dizzying, head-nodding performance that leaves you wondering exactly how he does it.

Performed with a dangerously proficient band, Fiasco's songs played better live, buoyed by organic keyboard and guitar licks that would overwhelm lesser rappers.

His skateboard anthem "Kick Push" and the Santos-aided "Superstar" were recited word-for-word by the adoring crowd and by the time Fiasco and company left the stage, "Superstar" was still ringing in one's head. Love him or hate him, Fiasco has finally become a superstar.

NAME CHANGE!

Yeah, as most people know... I get bored easy.

Very easily. That and I kind of have like ADD when I'm on the internet. I do like 6 things at once.

Anyway, the point of this post is to let it be known that by the end of the week [maybe tomorrow] I will be changing the name of the blog from Lupe The Killa to...well I'll let you know when I do it.

I never really liked the title all that much I just needed something quick and easy...

I dont really like how that sounded but whatever.

PEACE!

[DJ voice]NEW CRS-S-S-S-S![/DJ voice]

Ha! Not really. It's just Lupes verse from Pop, Pop, Kanyes verse from We Major and Pharrells verse from Can I Have It Like That.

Shit is still hot.

Oh and guess what..another Thom Yorke Sample. Yep!

I think it was on Kanye's Graduation mixtape. At least that's what I heard....

See what happens when I can't sleep..
